The Seven Atlantic Sisters of the Night Sky

The Story

The Pleiades have always felt special to me.

Long before I knew their name, there was one small cluster of stars that always caught my attention. As a child, I would look for them in the night sky because, to me, they looked like a tiny key. Years later, while studying astronomy in college, I learned that they were the Pleiades.

Across many cultures, the Seven Sisters carry stories of mythology, discovery, navigation, and wonder.

In Greek mythology, the Pleiades are the seven daughters of the Titan Atlas and the ocean nymph Pleione. Because they were the daughters of Atlas, they were also known as the Atlantides—The Seven Atlantic Sisters.

That story became the inspiration behind the name Starry Atlantic Pleiades.

To me, the name represents more than a star cluster. It represents "The Seven Atlantic Sisters of the Night Sky". A reminder that the universe is filled not only with beautiful objects, but with stories waiting to be discovered.

That meaning became the heart behind Starry Atlantic Pleiades—not only as a place to share astrophotography, but as an observatory built around curiosity, exploration, and storytelling.

Some objects become more than a target in the sky.

They become part of the journey.

Starry Atlantic Pleiades is my observatory of the Seven Atlantic Sisters of the Night Sky—a place where astronomy, exploration, and storytelling come together.
