The Story
I went to Zion National Park excited for a night of planned compositions and stars. Clouds decided to take over the sky and changed everything I expected from the evening.
Instead of leaving empty handed, I leaned into the conditions and photographed a different story.
Sometimes the sky gives a different image than the one you came for.
Field Notes
Nightscape photography often means adapting to weather, clouds, and changing conditions in real time.
Some nights become more memorable because they do not go according to plan.
Processing Workflow
This nightscape image was processed primarily in Lightroom.
